What do I need to do before a treatment?

Three days before beginning treatments clients are advised to drink at least 2 litres of water per day. This is so that the Ultrasound and Radio Frequency waves can target water molecules under the skins surface and so the more that are available the more successful the treatment will be. It is also advisable to do the same for 3 days after the treatment.

What happens during treatment?

The treatment is fairly relaxing and pain free. First, an in depth consultation will take place during which a treatment plan will be discussed and tailored to your own specific needs. We will record your measurements required and ask the you to sit or lie down depending on what area is to be treated. The area to be treated is discreetly exposed and gel is applied. The ultrasonic cavitation hand piece is then systematically moved over the area you wish to contour and/or smooth by liquefying fat cells. Then the radio frequency hand piece is slowly rotated over the target area transmitting radio waves through the upper layers of the skin to the dermis, heating the dermis to between 40-45 degrees celsius without burning the skins surface. Your skin will feel increasingly warm in the treated area. It is important to let the us know if the treatment is becoming uncomfortable so that we can move on to another area. At the same time as Radio Frequency the vacuum is used to increase blood circulation through the area and facilitate lymphatic drainage.

In which areas is the treatment most effective?

The face, abdomen, thighs, flanks [saddlebags], hips [love handles] and buttocks are the most commonly treated areas.

What can I expect from the results?

The treatment improves the look and feel of both the deep and superficial skin layers by rejuvenating skin, reducing cellulite and contouring the body. The treatment is safe, effective, and non-invasive. Most clients experience a reduction in circumference after the first session, with increasing results after each visit but especially after the third treatment and onward. The results may vary from person to person with different tissue structure, treatment area, age, metabolism, medications, and changes in hormones. Proper diet and increased physical activity will certainly improve and help to maintain the results. Results will continue to improve for several weeks following the last treatment session. You will continue to metabolize fat for up to twelve weeks which means that, as most people do not make new fat cells in later life, the loss can be permanent. This procedure will also leave you with firmer, smoother looking skin than before, due to the inclusion of Radio Frequency Therapy which encourages the fibroblasts within the skin to produce collagen.

How long is each treatment?

Treatments can range from 15 to 60 minutes depending on the body area treated.

Is there a recovery period?

No down time is required after treatment. Patients can return to work or other activities immediately. In rare cases, mild discomfort or swelling occur.

Are there any risks associated with this treatment?

This therapy is non-invasive, there are few real risks associated with it as long as there are no contraindications. Occasionally patients may experience some discomfort or swelling, which is easily managed.

How many treatments will I need?

Patients can see results after the first treatment. However, most patients produce the best results after 3 to 6 sessions. This depends on body mass and circumference size, age, hormonal balance, medications and your desired goals. Incorporating the eating suggestions included in your program will reduce the number of treatments that may be needed. During your consultation, we will suggest the appropriate number of treatments you will need for optimal results.  Maintenance treatments every 6 months is also recommended.

Are the treatments affordable?

The cost of the treatment depends on the size of area or areas treated. Smaller areas requiring less time will be less cost than larger areas. After your consultation, we will determine the amount of treatments required and the cost. The treatment is comparable to other cellulite and skin toning treatments available. Our goal is to make treatments affordable and for you to see results.

Any different result for different people?

Yes, generally speaking, oily skin will have better results than dry skin. Dry skin has less water molecules for the the ultrasound and radio frequency waves to work with, it is less elastic and more fragile, so keeping the skin moisturised and hydrated is advised before treatment.

Could customers do IPL and RF together? 

It is better to do RF after 7 days of IPL treatment.

Why do you advise women patients to not take Ultrasonic RF treatment during menstruation?

During menstruation your body may be more sensitive to the treatment.

Can it remove stretch marks?

RF treatment will not remove stretchmark’s, but it will minimize it. The RF energy helps rebuild the broken and old collagen and improve the surrounding and lighten the pigmentations. Please speak to us regarding better solutions on reducing stretch marks.

Is it possible to lose weight with this treatment?

Because you are reducing fat deposits you may experience some loss in weight but it is not a weight loss treatment. It is particularly indicated to reduce adipose fat and cellulite which will reduce circumference. Diet suggestions will be recommended to follow throughout your treatment program and will enhance the elimination of fat deposits and the loss of weight.

Which Patients is this treatment is not suitable for?

• Individuals with acute or contagious disease or skin conditions, wounds or sores
• Autoimmune diseases, HIV or AIDS
• A history of cancer, kidney failure, liver failure or fatty liver
• Heart disease, implant devices such as pacemakers or electrical prosthesis
• Individuals with epilepsy or MS
• Pregnancy and breast feeding
• Anyone who has had a surgical procedure in the target area within the past 6 months
• During menstruation
• Thyroid disease and other hormonal disorders.
• High blood pressure or circulation problems
• Cancer
• Asthma
• Deep vein thrombosis, varicose veins, epilepsy
• Haemorrhagic disease, trauma, vascular rupture
• Intrauterine device avoid abdomen
